My good friend Jim (of Caviar and Codfish, on my blogroll) asked if the goats ever come indoors, and of course they do…Holly eating a waffle.
And at Christmas they come in for a glass of sherry and a piece of Christmas pudding. This is Holly again, always the last one to leave.
Oh man, how can anyone resist goats? I just wonder if our cats would accept them…
Sure they would. They don’t share many common interests. Although both species are well-known for showing great curiosity and both enjoy an afternoon nap, goats are herbivores after all. They are consequently afraid of the dark, and they don’t go on the prowl at night like cats do. Having said that, I’m sure they’d get along fine, in peaceful coexistence. They aren’t in competition and they wouldn’t scare each other after the first five minutes.
I’d be more worried about them eating your books, though actually it’s dogs who do that in our house. Parrots enjoy nibbling around dust jackets, giving them a perforated decorative border.
