My daughter made me this card. I can draw cartoons but I can’t think of captions, so I was very admiring.
She also picked me a vase. This cheered me up a lot.

Another variety of Elmer I suppose.
You need “cheering up” because having birthdays makes you sad?
Look at those cheerful goat faces!
I find I always cheer up when I see the profile photo of ∅.
More Happy Returns! (already sent some elsewhere).
x
Thanks, Cat.
– I’m not sure who Elmer is, though. Only the glue manufacturer.
Oh, the image didn’t appear. Too bad.
Haha. That’s great.
The profile picture was taken by my daughter a couple of years ago. She didn’t know what she was doing at all. It was a lucky shot. If an adult aims a camera at me, I tend to close my eyes or make embarrassed awkward faces.
Happy birthday from me too!
Thanks, Language.
It’s hard to look unselfconscious when someone aims a camera at you. It’s probably what separates us from the glitterati – well, me anyway.
MHR. Was this an inspiration for the heffalump drawing?

Oh! “¡Feliz cumpleaños A.J.P.!”
Thanks. Jesús!
pilots have only had to deploy the parachute a handful of times worldwide. He said: ‘The aircraft is the only production aircraft to have a parachute built in. ‘The idea came from the plane’s designers, brothers Alan and Dale Klapmeier after Alan had a mid-air collision.
You’d have expected that after a mid-air collision would have been too late to have any ideas.
I know surveillance bothers everyone, but I rather enjoy the way you can’t sneeze nowadays without someone whipping out their mobile telephone and making it into a video. Nothing goes unnoticed.
Well worth admiring.
That is so cute. Happy Birthday, AJP! Hope you had a great day.
Thanks B. I thought so too.
Happy belated birthday!
Thank you.
It’s like a hippy elephant, don’t you think? Very flower powered…
Happy birthday, again!
Thank you. Alma bought a box of African animal stickers, giraffes, elephants (2 sizes), hippos etc. on sale (i.e. at a reduced price) somewhere the other day. She has plans to use them in an urban landscape. They are flower-powered, you’re right.
