First the flowers, Dyveke gave Alma some roses to congratulate her for having got a place at the Royal College of Art. They are still going a month later. I gave Dyveke two orchids for her birthday.
At Easter, we went up to the mountains
and I took a picture of one of the bearded dwarf birch trees through the dining room window.
Dyveke & I spent four days clearing one metre of snow off all the roofs. I’m fairly sure it’s good exercise.
Let us congratulate Dyveke, if we may. Artistic sensibility derived from early goat exposure.
Sounded a bit odd that but still.
Old goat exposure?
Grade II offense but still.
Then again let us congratulate Alma, if we may.
A bit better.
Still…
Let us congratulate the Royal College of Art.
While also not forgetting old goats in general, naturally.
Tom! It’s very good to hear from you. Now I’m blogging, I’ll see your photographs again. That makes me very happy.
It’s raining snow, which is okay as long as it doesn’t rain women. Hope it’s safe to go up the roof.
I must confess my ignorance regarding the Royal College of Art. I pray that I will be forgiven.
Artur! Home again!
Here we are experiencing an Atmospheric River not to mention an absolute torrent of women. They are simply not to be stayed.
What lovely photos! Sorry I don’t have anything clever to say, it’s Sunday morning and I’ve only had one cup of coffee. But the post has made my day.
What lovely photos! & it’s made my day are both very clever things to say, but do have more coffee.
Sig, it is probably safe to go on the roof. In the next few weeks, it’s going to switch from snow to rain up there. The snow on the roof would absorb the rainwater and grow much heavier, so it was very important to remove it.
Alma applied for a place at the RCA in London to do a 2-year MA in architecture. She got in, but she’s still not sure whether she should accept or continue at the AA. It depends who is offering what for the design subjects (some of the same teachers are at both places, apparently). I’d choose the RCA because it’s in a much nicer place, next to Kensington Gardens and the Albert Hall. They always say the only three important things in architecture are location, location & location.
Not vocation too ?
No, I guess that’s secondary. If you’re in the right location, you will hear the voice calling you.
I have nothing smart to say either … except that I love hearing from you all again!
Likewise, Julia!
