This large tree by the lake is one of my favourites. I walk past it quite often but I’m not sure what it is. It might be an ash. More things I don’t know: why some trees have mossy branches while others don’t.

# A common question that homeowners ask us is whether moss on trees is dangerous to tree health. While the short answer is no, the extra weight moss lays upon on older trees can weaken their stability in windy storms and hide potential tree diseases from view. #

Thanks. I can’t believe that moss is very heavy. Another question I have is why do people now only use the adj. inclement when they’re talking about weather? I’m sure it was used about other things when I was young.
Judges can show clemency when they’re not being inclement (gnadenlos). Over the past year one Inclement Daniels haa tossed a lot of media trees.
I like gnadenlos. I thought it was mushrooms or toadstools.
Mushrooms or toadstools ? Gnadenlos ?
Stormy Daniels made a rather tasteless remark about mushroom-shaped privates.
You’re the one who mentioned gnadenlosigkeit. I was thinking it looked like gardenlos (those who live in apts).
I’d forgotten about her mushroom story. “Gardenlos” did cross my mind, but I couldn’t relate it to the rest. Looks like I can’t do puzzles with more than two pieces.
How are you Jeremy? I’ve been thinking of you lately, with a pang of nostalgia.
Sig! We’re all ok, and hiding from the virus. I’m so glad to hear from you. Are you guys all ok? My email is jeremyhawker01@gmail.com
Hehe, good to hear you’re okay. Here few people got the damn thing and they allowed us out this Sunday. The girls are far, far away (Queensland and Montpellier), but they are managing reasonably well. It’s the just that “coco inpé fatigué”, the head (coconut) is a bit tired, given what happened, what is happening and what may happen. Well, such is life now.
Thanks for the email address. Hope I’ll manage to write something soon. (Things like Whatsapp might be more lively though. It’s as if it’s become difficult today to write lengthy-ish emails without the ongoing interaction you’d have in an instant conversation, be it a written conversation. It’s sad somehow, but times are changing, aren’t they?)
It took too long to my procrastinating self to write to you, Jeremy, and now you’re gone to look for the goats. Hope the grass is full of wild flowers on the mountainside there.
I’ve been thinking of you lately, Jeremy. Somewhat more than usual.
